Client: Green Local Schools
Location: Franklin Furnace, Ohio
- A new 92,512sf PK-12 school.
- Academic spaces are separated into three sections: a PK-K wing, an elementary wing, and a middle/high school wing.
- With a focus on visibility, each academic wing has a boulevard that connects to the heart of the building.
- The common area includes the cafeteria and performance space with a stage, a designated podium area, a corresponding media/technology office overlooking the stage from the second floor and a ramp to make the stage ADA accessible.
- The administrative suite includes a reception area, administrative offices, a conference room, private offices for health services and storage.
A New Identity for the Green Bobcats: Prior to designing the new building, SHP facilitated a rebranding process with the district to establish a unified brand. The process included working with a Brand Advisory Team to create the new brand based on the values and input of the community. The results included a brand guideline that informed the hundreds, if not thousands, of decisions about the look and feel of the building.
