Early Childhood Education
Simply helping people Learn
At SHP, designing for early childhood education means more than simply scaling down furniture, installing water fountains lower to the ground or placing windows at child height. It means embedding our design with social, physical and temporal cues to help young learners navigate their first venture out into the real world. It means creating spaces that are flexible, functional and pedagogy-specific. And, it means having a lot of fun—after all, where else should you find playful elements like a racetrack, treehouse, two-story slide or rocket ship right there in the classroom?
