Employee Spotlight: Frank Forsthoefel, Education Specialist

Listener, empathetic, dedicated, focused, relationship-drive.

As the former superintendent of Sycamore Community Schools, we couldn’t think of a better person to serve as SHP’s education specialist than Frank Forsthoefel. Frank, who led the school district for six years, views his time as superintendent as an honor and a privilege.

“During those six years, our team accomplished so much for the school community. We engaged the community in the process to bring the school facilities to a level the students, staff and parents—now, and for generations to come—deserve,” said Frank, his personal and professional pride evident.

In his current role, Frank works with school district leaders as they plan to engage their communities around the critical issues facing the education of their children. As a former superintendent, he enjoys being a listening ear to peers and colleagues who are grappling with significant concerns as they lead the next generation.

“I cherish the relationships that I get to nurture as our firm strives to positively impact the most precious resource of any community: its children and their education.”

In addition to his great work at SHP, Frank is also a faculty member of Xavier’s Graduate School of Education and assists local school boards in their searches for new superintendents. Not only are those two pretty cool gigs, they are also essential resources he uses to garner inspiration for upcoming projects.

As you might be able to tell, Frank has many passions. But his most treasured may be fishing with his brother, as shown by the 5-pound smallmouth bass you’ll see above. Frank is also a quintessential family man and loves to spend time with his wife, Robin, and his two daughters, Megan and Madison.
