To create an inviting amenity space at 3090 Exploration Avenue that every tenant can call their own, SHP developed a distinct brand intentionally separate from any single corporate identity. The commons area is open and inclusive to all users—evolving into a true “third place” that serves building tenants, Cincinnati Children’s, the University of Cincinnati’s Digital Futures Complex, and the 1819 Innovation Hub.

“SHP transformed our vision into a vibrant community hub. The space is now a major draw for visitors and a key asset for attracting future tenants.”
– Maura Moran-Berry, AVP, Cincinnati Children's
"We designed this space to spark collaboration and 'intellectual collisions.' Students and professionals can step away from their workspaces to connect and exchange ideas."
– Steve Kenat, Principal & Project Manager, SHP
"Our job as designers is to listen and guide. We asked: Who are you? What do you value? Where do you want to go? The answers to those questions built the brand, space, and experience."
– Alex Bireley, Experiential Graphic Designer, SHP
