Employee Spotlight: Alex Bireley, Experiential and Graphic Designer
Efficient, Caring, Easy-Going, Creative, Responsible.
Anyone who has had the opportunity to collaborate with Alex Bireley would tell you he’s a creative designer, no question. They would also tell you it is his positive spirit and easy-going nature that make him an essential part of our SHP team.
“Treat others the way you want to be treated”, Alex believes – and he lives by it too.
Alex approaches each design or project with thoughtfulness and creativity. Though he humbly says his job consists “of making things look pretty,” his impact is far more reaching than just that. As our first experiential and graphic designer, his time is split between helping our interior design and marketing teams with their graphic needs. No two days look the same for Alex, one day he may be filming and editing a video for our social channels, and another is creating graphics for a school client. Since joining the team, Alex has provided graphics for projects such as the new K-5 School for The Dayton Regional STEM School, the new Symmes Township Branch Library at CHPL, and most recently the new Kings High School.
It may sound like a lot to the average person but to Alex, he is living the dream. He says, “I’ve always loved art and design and knew from a very young age that I wanted to make a living doing this.”
Alex started on our marketing team as a co-op from the University of Cincinnati, and it was clear from the start he was meant to stick around full-time. He wants to “inspire and help others”, and that goes for both his team and our clients. As the first person in the graphic design division, he is setting a strong foundation and tone for future teammates – and believes it is his responsibility to do so.
Outside of the office, Alex enjoys spending time with the Church and staying active by going to the gym, running, working on his golf swing, and just about any other sport you can think of. As a natural-born artist, he likes to stay creative outside of work as well, working on projects such as painting or wood carving.
