Nostalgic Charm, Modern Power: The Boardwalk project beautifully modernizes a historic stretch of the park, seamlessly hiding massive, state-of-the-art power distribution networks beneath a midway designed to evoke the classic, nostalgic feel of a 20th-century beachside park.

A vibrant revitalization of Cedar Point’s shoreline, The Boardwalk transforms the park’s former Lakeside Midway into a premier family destination. In partnership with TRA Design, SHP provided comprehensive MEP engineering and site utility design for the new ride, dining, entertainment, and event experiences across the plaza. Our scope delivered the area-wide power distribution, site lighting, and pneumatic infrastructure required to support a new spinning coaster, multiple relocated attractions, and refreshed guest facilities.

Project statistics are for the anchoring coaster, the Wild Mouse.
