As the highest-circulating branch in the entire CHPL system, Symmes Township needed a space that could keep up with its growing community. What started as a plan to renovate and expand the existing facility turned into something much bigger. As we listened to community needs during the planning phase, the vision shifted: rather than patching together additions, constructing a brand-new, flexible building was the best—and most cost-effective—way to serve Symmes Township for decades to come.

"This new Symmes Township Branch gives families, students, and neighbors more room to learn, create, and gather, and we’re excited to celebrate this milestone with the community that helped shape it."
– Paula Brehm Heeger, Eva Jane Coombe Director, CHPL
"Designing a space that truly reflects the diversity of Symmes Township was such a rewarding experience, and seeing the community immediately make it their own makes every detail worth it."
– Allison McKenzie, Principal, SHP
