Clad in a Flemish Bond custom brick blend, the McCall Welcome Pavilion seamlessly transitions between the new and existing.
As the first impression, the design delivers the spatial quality, material selection, messaging and human connection Southern Baptist sought.
A mix of brick and concrete paver and granite slabs creates the outdoor gathering space Towery Plaza.

Project Description

SHP Leading Design has worked with Southern Baptist on a variety of projects, totaling over $12M. Attached to the main building, the 12,000 square foot McCall Pavilion provides a highly visible and welcoming entry to the campus, setting the tone and ambiance of the Southern Baptist experience. SHP-renovated connecting student services spaces including new Admissions area; a sandwich shop, men’s emporium and bookstore storefront; a combined post office, sundries shop and copy-service center; redesign of the expanded food service area; and renovating a second-floor student lounge.
