Sands Montessori School is an 86,000sf PK-8 school offering expanded classrooms and extended learning areas for students aged 3-12. The OFCC project delivers a highly adaptable facility with several unique outdoor learning opportunities, such as flowerbeds that contain fossils for students to observe (which also double as stepping stones) and two interior courtyards perfect for experiential learning for every student.

"We differentiated between the two courtyards: one is smaller and informal, adequate for small groups of students to gather, and the other is organized in a more class-like setting. Students will utilize both, no matter their grade level, because they can both play a different role in fostering a love of learning."
