Lebanon Public Library Renovation
Client: Lebanon Public Library
Location: Lebanon, Ohio
- Restored original woodwork in the 1908 portion of the building to preserve authentic Carnegie craftsmanship.
- A redesigned floor plan and brand-new circulation desk with quartz finishes that open up sightlines for staff and patron safety.
- Complete interior finish updates, including new flooring, carpet, ceilings, and integrated lighting throughout the main level.
- Modernized collection layout paired with flexible, comfortable seating for daily community use.
A Decades-Long Partnership: This project marks our second major renovation with the Library following our work on the lower-level community technology center. The project continues a relationship that began with a 1980s addition to the historic building.
Architecture|Interior Design
Lebanon Public Library has evolved significantly since opening its original building in 1908. To match how modern patrons use the space, SHP designed a main-level renovation that creates a brighter, safer environment while preserving the building’s original Carnegie charm.
