Gyro Strietmann Office

Cincinnati, OH

Project Description

For more than 30 years, SHP led the design efforts for the B2B creative agency, gyro, which recently integrated to form Merkle B2B. Our most recent work includes the design of a new office located in the historic Strietmann building of Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. The 7,000sf office features workspaces that are fluid, flexible, open and collaborative.

Year Completed

Project Scope

  • The design celebrates the unique features of the historic structure, which included barrel vault brick ceilings, heavy timber framing and massive riveted steel beams.
  • Custom eight-foot wide-pivot doors, providing tackable and writable surfaces, rotate to redefine space between collaborative and focus areas.
  • Rookwood tiles on the reception desk and kitchen backsplash are a subtle nod to the history of the city of Cincinnati.
  • The office integrates both digital and analog technology solutions to allow for real-time sharing of in-process creative work.
  • Discover more about the design of this unique workplace in our case study.
