Ummul Buhari-Mohammed
Project Designer
Ummul has been with SHP since 2018 when she was a part of our co-op program. Now, as a full-time member of our team, she assists with architectural design and documentation as well as production efforts in renovation and interior design.
Though her career is still quite young, Ummul has accomplished a great deal. She is becoming a LEED Green Associate, was named SkillsUSA Architecture President and has even led very influential projects, like the Bi-Okoto African Cultural Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
“I love that my supervisors encourage me to get creative with designs,” said project designer Ummul Buhari-Mohammed. “They allow me to be myself, make mistakes and prioritize learning at every turn.”
