Evolving Beyond Books: Designing a Modern Library in the Digital Age
Today’s libraries offer far more than physical copies of books, magazines and periodicals. They’re robust community spaces that connect people to vast sources of information, ideas and to each other. Based on our experience designing libraries in the modern age, we at SHP know every branch needs to be uniquely designed to reflect the community it serves. That’s why an initial step in the design process for the Delaware County District Library‘s new branch in Liberty Township was gathering input from library employees and community members, relying on a core value of SHP that we share with libraries everywhere: simply helping people thrive.
Take a deep dive into the new Liberty Branch Library in our case study, Evolving Beyond Books: Designing a Community Library in the Digital Age.
