2015: SHP’s Year in Review

The COVID-19 pandemic is creating a remarkable opportunity for Career Technical Education (CTE). CTE should not only emerge stronger after the pandemic, but also help shape — and even lead — the future of learning.

Ten years ago, SHP signed on to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) 2030 Commitment to work toward achieving zero carbon emissions in our projects by the year 2030.  Now that we’re halfway to the deadline, where does SHP stand in our commitment? And, more importantly, what’s next?

In a post-pandemic world, workplaces will look and feel different; they already do. People will return to the office. But, what do we do in the meantime? SHP is in the unique position of helping answer this question. Importantly, as designers, architects and strategists, we aspire to rise to architecture’s greatest challenge—creating a sense of place that enhances human experiences—in a time when we must, by necessity, be apart.
