Hidden Flight Infrastructure: To maintain the illusion of an authentic, wide-open aviation airfield, SHP worked extensively with the ride manufacturers to bury complex control wiring pathways and high-capacity electrical grids completely out of sight beneath the public thoroughfares.
Celebrating the rich history of aviation in the Carolinas, Aeronautica Landing immerses guests in a highly themed environment featuring new attractions, games, and upgraded dining. In partnership with RSL, SHP provided comprehensive MEP engineering design and extensive utility modifications to seamlessly support the multi-ride expansion. Our team delivered critical site electrical upgrades, advanced thoroughfare lighting, and specialized plumbing—including new trench drains and oil interceptors—to power four new Zamperla flat rides, a fully renovated bumper car attraction, and an expanded restaurant facility.
