Interesting Fact: Located in the western-themed FrontierTown area of Cedar Point, Steel Vengeance was created from the remnants of the former Mean Streak coaster, combining a traditional wooden frame with a smooth steel track.
The world’s first hyper-hybrid roller coaster, Steel Vengeance is the longest hybrid coaster in the world and features the most airtime of any roller coaster on the planet. SHP designed new power distribution panels to feed the high-capacity ride and site electrical systems while seamlessly back-feeding existing loads in close coordination with the local utility company. Our team also completed the facility electrical design for the new queue locker building and engineered ground-mounted structural flood lighting to illuminate the massive wooden framework.
