One of only seven Giga Coasters in the world, Orion is Kings Island’s tallest, fastest, and longest steel roller coaster. In partnership with TRA Design, SHP designed the high-capacity electrical distribution systems required to handle the ride’s immense peak power loads. Our team also completed the HVAC, plumbing and electrical design for the “Area 72” complex, including a new station house, queue line, themed buildings, a food service facility, and ride flood lighting.
