Employee Spotlight: Abdullah Gerasimov, Architect
Organized, Compassionate, Focused, Team-Oriented, Ambitious.
“If you do it, do it right.” This is a common phrase from architect “Abdullah” Maksym Gerasimov. But he doesn’t just talk the talk; he lets his actions speak for him.
Abdullah has established himself as a focused and ambitious architectural designer. In his current role, he is responsible for collaborating with both project architects and managers with day-to-day activities such as building design and modeling, drafting and troubleshooting, among other tasks. To kick off the new year, Abdullah earned his architectural license in the state of Texas, where he resides.
“Abdullah is a wonderful member of the SHP design team,” said former SHP president Lauren Della Bella. “He is a rare find, in that he truly cares about getting the job done and getting it done right. He takes his job personally, which has led to great success thus far.”
Before joining SHP, Abdullah spent several years learning as much as he could about the architectural industry through his education and the various internship positions he has held throughout his young career. His extensive experience includes construction, residential design and now, with SHP, commercial design.
Passion for the architectural industry is a constant in Adbullah’s life, whether he is at work or in his leisure time. He loves the idea of bettering himself by becoming a lifelong learner and is keen to learn more about his profession and other disciplines to produce better quality work that suits the needs of our clients.
“By the end of my life, I want to be able to say that I have made this world a bit better,” he said.
To escape the daily grind — which, he counters, is important for a healthy mind (and he’s right!) — Abdullah loves to sit in nature and take in the beauty all around him.
