Employee Spotlight: Todd Thackery, Principal, Vice President, Architect

We have all heard the golden rule: treat others how you would want to be treated. Todd Thackery embraces this way of thinking and has ingrained that mindset into the identity and culture of SHP.

A vice president and principal at SHP, Todd has been with the company since 1984. As an architect and our resident master planning guru, Todd helps clients plan, scope, budget, and finance successful projects and permanent improvements. Still, he gets the most joy from seeing the difference he and his team can make in the lives of so many people.

“Improving the lives of students, staff, and local communities as a whole is the most fulfilling part of my career," said Todd. "We have an excellent team at SHP, all with this same mentality. That makes the job a whole lot easier.”

Throughout his tenure, Todd has had the opportunity to lead some of our most notable projects, including Lebanon Library, Oxford Lane Library, and the Hamilton High School and gym. These projects can be strenuous at times, but he looks to his team, our clients, and communities for inspiration and vision.

Todd enjoys spending time with his family and his grandkids or admiring a beautiful sunset in his free time.
