Employee Spotlight: Elizabeth Heinbach, Mechanical Engineer

SHP

If you have ever had the pleasure of knowing mechanical engineer, Elizabeth Heinbach, then you know the resilient and determined mindset that she shows up with day-in and day-out.

“Elizabeth is extremely dedicated to her craft. She is constantly asking questions and doing whatever she can to ensure the best possible outcome which is exactly what we look for here,” said SHP President Lauren Della Bella. “She is one of the brightest young minds in this industry and we can’t wait to see what her future holds.”

Optimistic, motivated, open-minded, persistent, disciplined

Before joining SHP, Elizabeth spent a number of years working in the architecture field, learning and growing as a young professional. Now, she has established herself as one of SHP’s premiere mechanical engineers.

In this role, Elizabeth is tasked with designing HVAC systems for various projects. Her primary responsibilities are energy modeling and system design in Revit, but what excites her most is the variability in her duties on a day-to-day basis.

“I love that the size of projects at SHP allows us to work on them from start to finish and to see the end result. The variety of projects and clients keeps our work interesting and engaging as well,” said Elizabeth. “I also love working with our senior engineers. They all have a ton of experience, so I can really lean on them when I am working on a more complicated project.”

In her free time, Elizabeth loves to run. She spends a great deal of time outside of work training and competing in marathons and triathlons. Just this past year, she (virtually) completed the Boston marathon and has now begun training for her first full Ironman next year. She also loves her dogs and cats and can’t imagine life without them!

“My boyfriend and I dressed our dogs up for Halloween,” she said. “How did anyone survive 2020 without pets??”
