Employee Spotlight: Abby Anastasio, Project Architect

Hardworking, thorough, pleasant, dedicated

“Do your best every day. Never stop learning.”

This is the mantra that guides project architect Abby Anastasio’s professional and personal life. As a proud mother of two, Abby understands that every day is not going to be perfect, but what is important is putting your best foot forward every single day. This is why we are so happy to have her on the team!

“Abby is a knowledgeable and hardworking person who is simply a delight to have in the office,” said SHP president Lauren Della Bella. “Her ‘won’t lose’ attitude drives her to be great at her job and inspires those around her, as well.”

Abby has been a project architect for SHP for over 12 years and is responsible for leading and managing the architectural team’s day-to-day project design, communication, research, coordination and documentation efforts. She is also in contact with clients throughout a project to coordinate their expectations with our design, research and advocacy efforts. Some of her favorite projects have included primary and middle schools for Chillicothe, Beavercreek and Sycamore.

But at the end of her career, Abby hopes to look back and see that she was a significant player in impacting thousands of people’s lives today and for future generations.

“I am proud to work on projects that will stand for decades to come. To have a huge impact on the people using them every day, and the surrounding community is truly gratifying.”
– Abby Anastasio, Project Manager

In her free time, Abby can be found doing little creative projects like the doodle pictured below (right), spending time with her kids, and exploring the city’s culture and surrounding areas.
