Brady Mick has joined SHP as director of strategic design, workplace. In his new role, Mick will lead visioning, ideation, research and design efforts to develop workplaces that facilitate learning experiences.
Mick has 30 years of professional experience as an architect, strategist and thought leader, focusing his efforts on the social dynamics and behavioral results of design. His passion for learning, idea generation and maximizing opportunities drives a creative process that delivers relevant and responsive spaces for work, learning, public experience, research and more.
“To me, the most important part of life is the relationships we build with others, with the second being that we remain in a constant state of learning,” explained Mick. “The workplace is the perfect intersection of interpersonal relationships and ongoing learning. That’s why workplace design is so important: by its very nature, it is a catalyst for the positive individual experiences of people creating business results.”
“Corporate America will benefit when evolving its workspaces into more learning-centric environments. Like Brady, SHP believes the future of workplace design isn’t singularly focused on creating productivity centers; it is dependent on creating true learning centers where employees can embrace ongoing education, skill expansion, and heightened critical and creative thinking,” said Lauren Della Bella, president of SHP. “Brady understands how design can impact and facilitate learning experiences within a corporate environment, which makes him the perfect addition to our team as we seek to expand our learning-centric corporate client base.”
SHP delivers innovative learning environments that enrich human experiences, from pre-k to higher education and workplaces. Along with architectural design services, SHP offers interior design, strategic consulting, planning and engineering, and stakeholder engagement services that help identify opportunities and solve problems. The company’s educational and workplace visioning expertise engages with stakeholders at all levels to create a shared vision for the future.
“I’m excited to bring my passion for the nature of people at work and the importance of workplace learning to SHP’s clients,” said Mick. “SHP is a design firm of people with passion and drive to explore, discover and create functional, beautiful and time-conscious workspaces.”
